3.5.2 Thread breaks and ends of seams. Ends of all seams and stitching will be back tacked not less
than 1/4 inch. Ends of continuous line of stitching will overlap not less than 1/2 inch. Thread breaks will
be secured by stitching back of the break not less than 1/2 inch, unless otherwise specified.

Cutting
a. Cut all parts in strict accordance with patterns
furnished which show size for proper a of all parts.
b. Cut the nylon outershell out of the same piece of
material.
c. Cut the satin, acetate or rayon all out of the same
piece of material.

Replacement of damaged parts. Replace at time of
cutting any part containing damages such as holes,
smashes, slubs or multiple floats.

Prepare helmet
a. The helmet will consist of a four-
panel innershell and a four-panel
outershell with a mouton front panel.
