3.3.2 Marking. The components of the helmet will be marked to insure a uniform shade and size
throughout the garment. Any method of marking may be used except:
a. Corrosive metal fastening devices
b. Sew-on type tickets
c. Adhesive type tickets which discolor or adhere to the material upon removal of the tickets.
3.3.3 All parts will be marked, ticketed or bundled to insure uniform shade throughout the helmet.
When the bundle system is used, plies from each bolt of fabric will be separated (in the spreading) by
tissue paper or other identifying medla and the parts, after cutting will be so segregated that each bundle
will contain only parts cut from the same piece of material. The bundles must be identified so that all the
components for each end item will be from the same piece of material.
3.4 Design. The helmet is a fully lined cold weather head covering, having a four-piece crown, mouton
forehead, earflaps with a webbing chin strap that closes with snap fasteners
(see Figure 1).
