3.2.2 Dimension defects. The coat shall be examined for defects in dimensions in accordance with the following:
a. Any measurement deviating from nominal dimensions and tolerances specified in 2.2, shall be scored as a measurement defect.
b. Sleeve lengths unequal in length by 1/2 inch or more shall be scored as a size measurement defect.
3.3 Inspection levels and AQL’s. The inspection levels and acceptable quality 1evels (AQL’s) expressed as defects per 100 units, for the visual and dimensional examinations shall be as follows:

4. PACKAGING.
4.1 Preservation. Each coat shall be laid flat with front edges abutting and the back facing upward. The sleeves shall be flattened and placed alone the length of the coat. Fold the coat in half lengthwise, keeping the edges of the fronts together. The coat shall then be folded in half along the length. The completely folded coat shall measure approximately 15 inches by 11 inches. Each folded coat shall be inserted in a snug-fitting flat style clear polyethylene film bag of 0.00125 inch thickness (+ 20% tolerance). All seams and closures shall be formed by heat sealing. A 1/4 inch diameter hole shall be made at one corner of the polyethylene bag to allow excess air to escape.
4.2 Packing. Ten coats of one size only, preserved as specified in 4.1, shall be packed in a fiberboard shipping container assembled, closed and reinforced conforming to type CF, class domestic, variety SW, grade 275, size 1A of MIL-B-17757. The fiberboard for the liner shall conform to type CF, class domestic of MIL-B-17757. Packages conforming to 4.1 shall be packed flat, reversed end for end, one in length, one in width, and ten in depth within the shipping container. Each container shall have the contents completely covered on the top and bottom with a sheet of commercial grade kraft paper.
4.3 Marking. In addition to any special marking required by the contract or order, unit packs, intermediate or exterior containers, and palletized unit loads shall be marked in accordance with MIL-STD-129.
