expressed in units of one glove.  The sample unit will be one glove and the selection will be by pairs.

4.2.1 Visual examination.  Each glove will be examined for the defects listed below:

Any hole, cut, or tear; color not as specified; any part shaded; any spot or stain (outside); raw edges, open seams, thread ends not removed, or loose tension resulting in loose seams; any material defects, distorted parts or poor workmanship; any component part omitted; for leather: unhealed scratch, grub, tick marks, open veins, or clearly noticeable fat wrinkles; label missing, incorrect, or illegible; measurement of item not as specified; bar code omitted or not readable by scanner; human-readable interpretation (HRI) omitted or illegible; bar code not visible on folded, packaged item; bar code causes damage to the item; any items not packaged in accordance with the contract or purchase order. (Up to 3 needle holes are acceptable).

4.2.2 Dimensional examination. The gloves will be measured for overall length, hand length and hand width for conformance to the dimensions listed in 2.3.

4.3 Acceptance criteria. Acceptance criteria will be as specified in the contract or purchase order.

5. PACKAGING.  The preservation, packing, and marking will be as specified in the contract or order.
